Founded in 2008 by conservation leaders Johan Maree, Chris Kelly, and Dr. Simon Morgan, Wildlife ACT focuses on one mission: safeguarding Africa’s most endangered species through relentless on-the-ground monitoring and anti-poaching efforts. Many African reserves lack the resources to conduct effective wildlife monitoring—essential for species management and survival. Wildlife ACT fills this gap by providing reserves with advanced tracking, monitoring, and relocation services, all free of charge. Their work ensures that endangered species like rhinos, African Wild Dogs, and cheetahs can thrive in safe, protected environments.
Wildlife ACT’s achievements are driven by data and dedication. To date, they have fitted over 262 rhinos with tracking devices, relocated 123 to secure habitats, and dehorned over 246 rhinos to combat poaching. African Wild Dogs, cheetahs, lions, and elephants also benefit from their specialized tracking and monitoring, with each project aimed at sustaining healthy populations across South Africa’s landscapes.
Imvubu Safaris is proud to partner with Wildlife ACT, directly funding one rhino dehorning with every safari booked. This partnership turns each safari into a meaningful contribution to conservation, supporting Wildlife ACT’s mission to preserve Africa’s iconic species and wild spaces. Together, Imvubu Safaris and Wildlife ACT make conservation a reality, one journey at a time.
